Tok, Toig(e, n. Also: tock, toik, touke, tuk, togue. [e.m.E. tuke (1477), tewke (1481-90), tuyke (1521), tuke (1527). Cf. Towk n.2] A type of cloth, chiefly, tok of silver, gold. Also attrib.(1) 1552–3 Treasurer's Accounts X 158.
