Throuchgang, Through-, Throwgang, n. Also: throwch-, thruch-, throcht-, throghe-, throu- and -gange, -gand, -gane. [Thro(u)ch(e adv. or prep. and Gang n.] An entry, passage, passageway, or close (esp. in or between tenements). Also attrib.(a) 1502 Prot. Bk. J. Young X 288.
