Muscadel(l, n. Also: muscadall, muskedall, (musquedale); and Muscaldy. [ME. muskadelle (14–15th c.), e.m.E. muscadel(l (1526), muscatel (1535), OF. muscadel, muscatel.] A kind of sweet wine made from the muscat or a similar grape, muscatel. — 1434 Exch. R. IV. 564.
