Mortal(l, a. Also: -al(l)e, -aill, -ell(e, -eill(e, -il. [ME. and e.m.E. mortal(l (Chaucer), -ail, mortel (14–15th c.), -eil, OF. mortel, -iel, mortal (mod. F. mortel), L. mortāl-is.] Mortal.
