Hyr(e)gang, Hiregang, n. Also: hyir-, hirgang. [Hyre n. 2; Gang n.] Hire, lease. Said of farm animals, utensils, or land. Chiefly in the phr. in hyregang, on hire.(a) 1513 Doug. xii. ix. 50.
