Homage, n. Also: homag, -ege, -adge; omage, ymage. [ME. homage (c 1290), omage (c 1300), umage (c 1400), OF. homage, ommage, humage.] Homage; formal acknowledgement of allegiance by a vassal to his lord. Freq. in to make, or take, homage.(a) 1375 Barb. iii. 756.
