Gladnes, Glaidnes, n. Also: glade-, glaydnes. [ME. gladnes, OE. glædnes, f. Glad a.] The state of being glad; joy, happiness, contentment; rejoicing, mirth, merrymaking.(a) a1499 Contemplacioun of Synnaris 613.
