Galcoit, n. Also: galdcot, galcot(t, -koit, gailcoit, gelcot, -coit. [Of obscure origin.] Some form of coat or jacket. The forms gelcot, -coit, are given by Jamieson from the Aberdeen records, without dates. 1522 Exchequer Rolls XIV. 463.
