Bilȝett, n. Also: bilȝeitt, beil-, bulȝett. [F. billette, dim. of bille trunk of a tree; hence also ME. bylet, belet (rare), e.m.E. billet.] A billet or thick piece of wood. 1554–5 Edinb. Old Acc. I. 149.
