Bilȝard, Bilȝeart, n. Also: bilȝaird, -ȝeard; bilȝet, -ett; billet. [F. billard (also formerly billart), whence also e.m.E. billards, billiards, -yards, balliards (1591).] A billiard-cue; pl. the game of billiards. Also attrib. with boul, burde. (Cf.
