Waithman, n. Also: wayth(e) man, wath(e)man, wathemain, (wachman), vo(u)thman. Pl. also (waichmen). [ON veiðimann-; Waith n.1] A hunter; an outlaw. Also attrib. and possess.(a) c1420 Wynt. i 1446.
