Tynchell, -ill, n. Also: tinchel(l, teinchill, tainchell, (tainches). [OIr. timchell, Gael. timchioll n. circuit, compass, circumference, v. to surround, encompass.] An encircling line of beaters required to drive the quarry towards the hunters. 1618 John Taylor (Water Poet) in 4th Rep.
