Trulis, n. pl. [Uncertain. Cf. mod. Sc. trowl to cause to roll, spin or turn round, and trollie a very large marble (SND, s.v. Trow v.1 2, and n.2 3); also OED Troll v. 2 to move (a ball, bowl, round body) by or as by rolling; to roll, bowl, trundle (esp., a bowl in the game of bowls).
