Translating, vbl. n. Also: translaitting, -let(t)ing, tranclating. [Late ME and e.m.E. translatyng (c1460), translating (1535).] a. The action of altering (a garment, etc.). (Translat(e v. 3 c.) b. The action of changing (something). (Translat(e v. 3.)a. 1503 Treas. Acc. II 225.
