1. A treasurer, one who administers a treasury, collects revenues and makes payments for services, repairs, etc. a. An official of this sort serving a monarch, esp. the Scottish monarch, ruler or magnate. b. The equivalent official in the service of a burgh. c. Of a craft guild. d. Of a diocese. e.
