Testificat, n. Also: testificate, -att, testeficat. [e.m.E. testificate (1590), L. testificatum (that which is) testified.] A document attesting to the truth of something; a certificate, freq. of a person's (good) character, state of health, etc.; a receipt. Also fig. 1609 Bk. Univ. Kirk III 1066.
