Suthfastnes, n. Also: suthfastnese, sutht-, suthefastnes, swth(t)fastnes, schut-, schoutfastnes, suithfastnes(s, suythfastnes, sothfastnes. [ME and e.m.E. sodfestnesse (c1175), soþfasstnesse (Orm), sothfastnes (Cursor M.), soothfastnesse (1571), OE soð-, soþfæstnesse.]
