Suthfast, adj. Also: suthfaste, suthefast, swth-, sut-, sucht-, suith-, suyt(h)- and -fest, soithfast, soothfast, schoutfast. [ME and e.m.E. soþfasst (Orm), soðfest (Layamon), sothfast (c1250), sooþfast (c1430), soothfast (1481), OE sóð-, sóþfæst.]
