Sepulchral(l, adj. (n.). [e.m.E. sepulchrall (1615).] a. adj. Pertaining to burial or to a tomb; funerary. b. absol. as n., in pl. Ceremonies connected with the placing of a body in a sepulchre or tomb; burial rites. —a. 1606 Birnie Kirk-b. iv. —

All buriall ceremonies may be reduced to two ranks: for some are funerals, seruing for preparation to; and some sepulchrals, seruing for placing in the graue the defunct 1606 Birnie Kirk-b. iv.
