Schoing, -yng, vbl. n. Also: schoying, s(c)how(e)-, schou-, shoe-, shoo-, schew- and -in, -yn. [Late ME schoynge (Prompt. Parv.); S(c)ho v.]

1. The action of ‘shoeing’, in senses of S(c)ho v.As, putting shoes on a horse, fitting of protective edges or tips to artefacts, esp. wheels.(1) 1478 Acts II 119/2.
