(Sagate,) Sagat, Swagat(e, Sagatis, adv. Also: sagait, suagat(e, swagait, so-get; sagates, swagatis. [North. ME suagat (Cursor M.), swagates (a1400), ME so-gate (Manning), so-gat (Destr. Troy), so gates (c1400); Gate n.1 5.] In this way, in such a way; thus, so.(1) 1375 Barb. iv 307.
