Reverser, -or, n. [Cf. Reversio(u)n(e n., also 18th c. Eng. reverser one who reverses (a1743).] One who borrows money on the security of land, but retains through reversion a right to redeem the land. — c1630 Hope Minor Pract. (1734) 240 n.
