Respectivé, -iwie, adv. [Med. L. (Eng.) respective respectively, relatively (c1260, 1686 in Latham).] Relatively to each of several persons or things; individually, singly, separately; each to each, separately. Distinguishable from Respectiveadj. chiefly on basis of word order. It is possible that some of the following examples may properly belong to Respective adj. in post-positional use.(a) 1531–2 Dunferm. Reg. Ct. 62.
