The High Treasurer of Denmark.The forms in Warrender P. appear to be due to (? editorial) confusion with Rut(e)ma(i)ster n. a captain of horse (cf. editorial footnote).All instances refer to the Scottish embassy to Denmark of 1586–7 regarding the king's marriage. 1586 Cal.
