Quhang(e, Quhayng, n. Also: quhaing, quhane, whang(e; quheng, quhong. [Sc. var. of Thwang n.; cf. north. e.m.E. whanck a thick slice (1684).Cf. also Quhort n., Quhak v., in which Sc. quh-, wh- corresp. to English thw-.] A strip of leather; a thong.Also comb. and proverb.(1) Doug. ix xi 5 (Ruddim.).
