Preserve, v. Also: præserve, pre-, præserwe, preserow, pryserw, preserf(f, preserfe, presarve, presarf; and Preser. [Late ME (Gower, Lydgate) and e.m.E. preserve, F. préserver (14–15th c. in Hatz.-Darm.), late and med. L. preservāre.]
