Predestinat, ppl. adj. Also: -ate, -ait, prædestinat, predestynate. [Late ME and e.m.E. predestynat (Lydgate), -ynate, -inate (1529), L. prædestinātus p.p. of prædestināre Predestine v.]

1. Of persons: Foreordained by divine decree, also, destined, fated, doomed (to some destiny, to do something, etc.). c1515 Asl. MS. II 245/5.
