Particat, -ate, n. [Med. L. par-, perticata, f. L. pertica a perch or pole, a measuring-rod. Cf. Perk n.In the mod. dial. obsol. except as a historical term after c 1780.]

A particate.a. (Chiefly or only in the early Latin documents.) Appar. orig., a lineal measure of land equal to six ells; the square measure corresponding to this. = Fall n.1 2. b. A square measure of land equal to forty square falls or one fourth of the acre. = Rude n. c. A parcel of land of approximately this extent. d. ?
