Ogang(e, Ogan(e, Owgang, Ugang, n. [ON. ágangr is appar. recorded only in the sense ‘invasion, aggression’: but cf., with sense a, ON. ganga á (merki), to go to or go to inspect (boundaries), and, with sense b, ON. afgangr, what is over, surplus, store, ofgangr, excess.]

In Orkney and Shetland. a. A court held at the site for settling boundary disputes; a court of perambulation. 1502 Orkney Rentals i. 17 (see Landimer(e 1 b).
