Obstinat, a. Also: obstinate, -ayt, -et, obstynate, obystynate, obstienat; abstinat. [ME. (Rolle) and e.m.E. obstynat(e, obstinat(e, L. obstināt-us.]
1. Obstinate, obdurate, stubborn, inflexible, persistent.Chiefly in an unfavourable sense.
