Mister, v. Also: mistar, -ir, myster(e, -eir, -ar, -ir, -yr, mystr; mester, -ar; muster. [Late ME. (a 1400–50) and e.m.E. mister, myster, -eir, -ier, mestor (c 1500), f. Mister,n. After 1540 appar. only Sc.]
