1. Measure; measurement; a standard, system or unit of measurement. = Mesur(e n. 1 and 2.Only applied to measurements of quantity and, rarely, of dimension, as distinguished from weights: cf. Mesur(e n. 2.Also jug-met, Jug n. 1 b.(1) 1457 Acts II. 50/1.
