Lauchtane, Lawchtane, a. [MIr., mod. Ir. lachtna grey, dun, blay (Dinneen), Sc. Gael. lachdunn dun, tawny, swarthy, dingy, khaki, homespun grey (Dwelly).] a. Of a garment: Dull coloured, grey. b. Of the skin or complexion: Livid, discoloured. — 1375 Barb. xix. 672.
