Injurious, Injurius, adj. Also: injurieous, -jurios, -jurriouse, -jourious; injuryus, -gurius; injuries. [Late ME. injuryous (1484, Caxton), OF. injurieux, L. injūriōsus.]
1. Injurious or offensive in words; abusive, contumelious, insulting. a. Of the persons. b. Of the speeches.The usual Sc. sense: cf. OF. paroles injurieuses.a. 1456 Hay II. 99/21.
