Hege, Hedg(e, n. Also: hage, haige; heigh; edge; pl. hegg(e)is, heghgis. [ME. heg(e, hegge, OE. hegg, *hecg.] A hedge.The earliest example is the place-name Quikeheg (c 1170), Quikege (c 1150).(a) a1500 Henr. Fab. 1722.
