Excys(e, Exsyse, n. Also: excis(e, -cist, -ceisse, -ceyis; exsis, -syis, ecksyes. [e.m.E. excyse (c 1500), excise, MDu. excijs, exzijs.] A tax on goods; an excise-duty. Also attrib. and comb.(a) 1504 Halyb. 272.
