Decist, Decest, v. Also: decyst, -ceist, -ceast; decis, -ceis, -cis. [Variant of Desist v.] intr. To desist. Chiefly in legal use, and freq. coupled with cese.(a) 1442 Stirlings of Keir 216.
That he sulde … devoyde the said landis … and decist from sic occupacioun in tyme to cum 1460 Ayr Charters 34.
