Cuddeich, Cuddich(e, n. Also: coddech, cuddech(t, -ach, cuideich; cuddyche, -icht, cudich(t, cuidichie. [Gael. cuid oidhche ‘night-portion’. Cf. Coddacheich, Cowdeich, and Anglo-Irish cuddie (15–16th c.).] A night's entertainment due from a tenant to his superior, or the equivalent of this in value. 1505 Exch. R. XII. 353.
