Cros, Cross(e, n. [e.m.E. and ME. crosse, ME. and OE. cros, ON. kross. Cf. Cors n.2 and Crose.Early examples of the form occur in place-names, as Crossrigeflat (c 1220), Crosflatte (c 1320), Crosdikis (1456).]
