Chevisance, n. Also: -aunce, chewis-, chewysance, chewys-, chewesans. [ME. chevisance (c 1300), chevysaunce, etc., OF. chevisance, f. chevis-, chevir Chevis v.] Provision, acquisition; attainment of an end. 1375 Barb. iii. 402.
