Cassat(e, Cassait, p.p. [e.m.E. cassat (1519), cassate, L. cassātus, p.p. of cassāre.] Cassed, made void. 1491 Ayr Fr. Preach. Chart. 65.
I grant that the charter be cassat, annulit, and exspirit in the self 1503 Charter (Reg. H.) No. 662.
As at mare lenth is contenit in the saide decrete retretit, cassat, adnullit, & decernit of nane avale force nor effect 1508 Reg. Privy S. I. 253/1.
All sic alienatiouns … to be cassate, adnullate and of nane avail 1542 Acts II. 416/1.
To here and se the samin retretit, rescindit, cassait and annullit 1556 Prot. Bk. T. Dalrymple 43.
The said pretendit assignacioun … is null & na availe and aucht to be nullit, cassat and retretit
