Belyve, Belyf(e (also belywe, belyff(e, belyiff, beleyff), adv.Usual spellings of Belive adv. Also irregular variant: belyth.Very frequently used, especially in rhyme, by Wyntoun, Douglas, Stewart, etc.(a) a1400 Legends of the Saints i. 32.
