Banis, Baneis, Banishe, v. Also: banys, -es, -as, bannis, -isse, -ys, bannes, -eis, -as; beneis; banisch, baineische, bannysh, -ysch, bennisch, benish; also p.p. banist(e, -yst, -est, -eist, bannist, -yst, benist, beneist, bennest, benneist. [ME. banysshe (Chaucer), bannysshe, (OF. baniss-, lengthened stem of banir to proclaim.]
