Bahuif, n. Also: bahuiff, baw-, balhoy, balhuif, -huiff, -hwfe, -hewe; pl. ba-, bawhuvis, bahouuis, behewuis, balhuves. [OF. bahu, var. of bahud, bahut (mod. F. bahut), a large trunk with arched lid.] A chest, coffer, or trunk.(a) 1539 Treas. Acc. VII. 57.
