Abolis, v. Also: abolise, abollis, aboleis(e, -es. [Late ME. abolysshe (1490), F. aboliss-, abolir.] tr. To abolish.The Eng. form abolishe (-ische) is also used in Sc. from 1563. 1549 Compl. 79/2.
