Ȝallownes, n. [ME and e.m.E. ȝelownes (Trevisa), yelownesse (a1400), yellowness (Sidney), yallownesse (Shakespeare).] a. The quality of being yellow, yellowness. b. Yellowing of the skin caused by jaundice. —a. 1494 Deidis of Armorie 52.
