¶SPLORROCH, n. The sound made by walking in water or mud, a squelching sound.Ayr. 1901 G. Douglas Green Shutters xvi.:
The muddy noise (“splorroch” is the Scotch of it) made by the big hoofs on the squashy head-rig.
