SKUTHER, n., v. Also skwither. [′skʌðər, ′skwɪð-]

I. n. A sharp short gale, a passing shower (Ork. 1929 Marw., Ork. 1970).

II. v. To make a stone skip over a flat surface, to play ducks and drakes (Id.).

[A variant of Scudder, q.v. Cf. also Scud.]
