1. A young pig (Ork. 1903 E.D.D., 1929 Marw.). Dim. pooty (Ork. 1903 E.D.D., Ork. 1949). Also as a call-name for a pig (Ork. 1903 E.D.D., pooty, 1929 Marw., poot, poot, Ork. 1959). Also used attrib. (Ork. 1903 E.D.D., pooty grice).
2. A young cat, a kitten (Sh., Ork. 1929 Marw., pootie).
