GURMULLET, GOR-, ppl.adj. Soiled, covered with a layer of dirt, e.g. of face or clothes (Sh. 1908 Jak. (1928), gor-, Sh. 1955); having a dark or dirty face (Sh. 1914 Angus Gl.).
[Orig. somewhat doubtful. The first element is prob. ad. Norw. gor, mud, dirt. For the second cf. Sh. Norn mullit, Faer. mullittur, having a snout or muzzle of a different colour (from the rest of the body).]You may wish to vary the format shown below depending on the citation style used.
